Volleyball Recap: Hiawatha Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Hiawatha won the last time they faced Jackson Heights and things went their way on Saturday too. The Red Hawks walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cobras.

Hiawatha never let Jackson Heights on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22.

Kylie Nelson paced Hiawatha's offense, picking up six kills. Nelson got some help from Adison Williams and her 16 assists. Williams also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Remy Siebenmorgen, each putting up two.

Hiawatha has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-19 record this season. As for Jackson Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-17.

Hiawatha wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Holton on the 11th. As for Jackson Heights, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Sabetha on the 11th.
