St. Pius X is a perfect 3-0 against Gallup since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Sartans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. Gallup took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Pius X, who comes in off a win.
St. Pius X hadn't beaten Atrisco Heritage Academy on the road since March 16, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Sartans blew past the Jaguars 14-4.
Ashton Warren made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Warren was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Gallup fell victim to Grants and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 13-0. The Bengals haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
The victory got St. Pius X back to even at 1-1. As for Gallup, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Everything went St. Pius X's way against Gallup in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, as St. Pius X made off with an 18-0 win. Do the Sartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bengals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
