The Apalachee Wildcats will square off against the West Forsyth Wolverines at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 On Tuesday, Apalachee got the win against Clarke Central  by a conclusive  9-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wildcats.
  Autumn Matherly made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Matherly was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kali Rosbury, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Destiny Montgomery was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, West Forsyth never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-0 margin over South Forsyth.
  Elizabeth Bare looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Madi Heine was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and six  RBI while going 2-for-3. What's more,  she also posted a .667  OBP, which is the highestshe's  posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was  Paige Carroll, who  scored three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, West Forsyth  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .593. That's a new  trend for them: their average  OBP was 35.8% earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 43.2%.
 The  win  got Apalachee back to even at 11-11. As for West Forsyth, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record  this season.
