The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Kingman/Cunningham will challenge Colby on the road at 6:00 PM on Friday. Kingman/Cunningham will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
After constant struggles on the road, Kingman/Cunningham have finally found some success away from home. Everything went their way against Larned last Friday as they made off with a 40-10 win. Kingman/Cunningham were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Colby put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season. They took the game and then some with a 61-10 victory over Goodland. That looming 51-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Colby yet.
Their wins bumped Kingman/Cunningham to 3-5 and Colby to 7-1. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
