Stoutland will square off against St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
St. James will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Stoutland extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Tigers came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Plato. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 24th.

Stoutland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Morrow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Morrow a new career-high. Another was Jesse Dickinson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Monday. St. James sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Waynesville.
JV Meurer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of St. James' success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 2-13 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drake Plummer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Jesse Hudson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Stoutland pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. James, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.
Stoutland took their win against St. James in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will Stoutland repeat their success, or does St. James has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
