After losing to the Badin Rams the last time they met, the Lakota East Thunderhawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lakota East strolled past Badin with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-40.
Lakota East can attribute much of their success to Phoebe Towe, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Brooke Asher, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
The win got Lakota East back to even at 1-1. As for Badin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Lakota East will be playing at home against Archbishop Alter at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Badin, they will head out on the road to face off against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
