There's no place like home for the Horizon Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Erie on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Horizon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Horizon had a senior duo take command as Alex Mccollum dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds and Brady Greene scored ten points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mccollum has scored all season. Aiden Greene was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Horizon's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Erie, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon will take on Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brighton is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Erie won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cheyenne Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th. Cheyenne Mountain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
