They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cole Azevedo and
James Downes, who scored both of Monte Vista's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 11 so far this season.
Monte Vista is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2-3 record this season. As for Dougherty Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4-4.
