The Granville Central Panthers will be playing at home against the Carrboro Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granville Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though J.F. Webb scored an imposing 71 points on Friday, Granville Central still came out on top. Granville Central managed a 77-71 victory over J.F. Webb. Given Granville Central's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while J.F. Webb is ranked 535th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Carrboro was the victim of a tough 59-35 loss at the hands of Louisburg on Friday.
Granville Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Carrboro, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Granville Central strolled past Carrboro when the teams last played back in January by a score of 64-49. Does Granville Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carrboro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
