FORT COLLINS, Colo. -
Mountain Range (Westminster, Colo.) received a huge boost from its defense against
Poudre (Fort Collins, Colo.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating
Poudre (Fort Collins, Colo.), 35-21.
The Impalas pulled ahead on a touchdown run by
Justin Moreng, and subsequently went into halftime leading 21-14. The Mustangs scored the winning points with a
Andrew Wamsley touchdown pass to
Preston Deherrera that came in the third quarter.
Deherrera stood out for Mountain Range in the win. The senior running back ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Moreng played well for Poudre. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to seven on the year.
When the two teams played each other last season, MR came away with a 27-3 victory.
The loss comes after Poudre defeated Fossil Ridge 51-33 last week.
