Jeremiah Delarosa Turns in Season-Best Effort
Atwater was led to victory by Jeremiah Delarosa, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Delarosa rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
The win (which was Atwater's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Delarosa and Atwater are taking a road trip to challenge Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Merced Gets a Boost from Dupree in 45-7 Victory
Quintell Dupree's big game helped extend Merced's winning streak to three on Friday. Dupree was dynamite, throwing for 191 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
If history really does repeat itself, Dupree might just drop another big game when he faces off against El Capitan on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Dupree saw the Gauchos), he threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing.

Julian Higareda Makes It Two for Merced
The second Merced player making an appearance here is Julian Higareda, and for good reason. He picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 51 yards.
For the season, Higareda has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 38.4 receiving yards per game.

Another Atwater player making an appearance on this list is James Bell. He rushed for 52 yards, and also threw for 23 yards and a touchdown.
