The Prattville Christian Academy Panthers and the American Christian Academy Patriots squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Prattville Christian Academy Panthers had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 58-36 walloping at the hands of the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Prattville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while American Christian Academy is ranked 91st).
American Christian Academy was led to victory by Eric Hines and Hunter Bates. Hines dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Bates scored 18 points along with four steals. Hines is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. Justin Michael Allen was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Prattville Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for American Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.
