After flying high against the Stewart County Royal Knights last Wednesday, the Randolph-Clay Red Devils came back down to earth. Randolph-Clay fell 47-34 to Terrell County on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Randolph-Clay of the 42-37 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Desiree Smith, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Akia Seymore, who scored 11 points.
Tadreuna Rogers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Terrell County, scoring 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. Ciara Harvey was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Randolph-Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Terrell County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Clay will take on Early County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Early County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Terrell County, they will be playing at home against Miller County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Terrell County is ranked 177th).
