Lakeland dropped their record down to 20-8-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 14-4 to the Bay City Western Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 5th.

As for Bay City Western, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bay City Western's part, they let Cal Plarske and Brayden Simmon run wild. Plarske went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one RBI, while Simmon went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Plarske has posted since back in April. Owen Dominowski was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

While Lakeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
