Wayne was led to victory by Caiden Backer and Gavin Redden. Backer scored 14 points along with two steals, while Redden scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Redden has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jace Jorgensen was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Wayne, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
