The Welch Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 62-39 defeat at the hands of Oaks-Mission. Welch has not had much luck with Oaks-Mission recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Hardin, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Ashworth, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Welch has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Oaks-Mission, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Welch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oaks-Mission, they will head out on the road to take on Cave Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
