Westlake is 0-10 against American Fork since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Westlake Thunder are on the road again and play against the American Fork Cavemen at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Westlake will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Westlake gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They took down Fremont 31-14.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but American Fork ultimately got the result they hoped for two weeks ago. They walked away with a 34-27 win over Skyridge. Winning may never get old, but American Fork sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
American Fork relied on the efforts of Josh Andrus, who picked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Dylan Story, who threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Westlake to 2-9 and American Fork to 9-1.
Westlake was taken down by American Fork 38-7 when the teams last played on October 6th. Can Westlake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
