Rosman hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rosman comes in on five and Madison on three.
Rosman will bounce into Monday's match after beating Mountain Heritage, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Tigers walked away with a 9-5 win over the Cougars last Wednesday.

Kiki Sexton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jolie Reid was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Madison ultimately got the result they hoped for last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Draughn 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since May 7, 2024.
Like Rosman, Madison also got a great game from a two-way player: Carrie Gunter. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over eight innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Gunter was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylee Ball, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addie Sams, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one double.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Rosman's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Rosman suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Madison when the teams last played back in March. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
