The Triplains/Brewster Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 57-43 fall against Golden Plains. Triplains/Brewster was down 44-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Defeat or not, Triplains/Brewster got some senior leadership from Nick Zerr and Carson Schmidt. Zerr dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Schmidt. scored 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zerr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Koda Kvasnicka, who scored three points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Golden Plains found their leader in underclassman Dylan Wark, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Josh Rath was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Triplains/Brewster's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Golden Plains, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Triplains/Brewster won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the on February 3rd. Western Plains/Healy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
