The Manti Templars entered their tilt with the Morgan Trojans with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Manti enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Morgan on Saturday. This was payback for Manti, who suffered a 42-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Maison Starkweather continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a rushing score. Starkweather hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Stone Mortensen was in the mix too, providing Manti with two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Manti's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Lincoln Alder and his three sacks.
Manti's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Manti will square off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Richfield will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Morgan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
