A feisty cat fight will be fought as Tullahoma Wildcats face off against Brighton Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tullahoma will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Tullahoma's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Columbia Central. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Baylan Tuten was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. He has become a key player for Tullahoma: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Hogan, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Mason Bratcher was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Brighton came up short against Shelbyville Central on Monday and fell 11-7. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brighton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Hooper, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another was Caiden Gaines, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Brighton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Tullahoma's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Brighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tullahoma has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts.
