If the Parsons Christian Academy Lions were feeling good off their 69-23 takedown of the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Parsons Christian Academy took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Global Outreach Charter Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Parsons Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 723rd, while Global Outreach Charter Academy is ranked 333rd).
Despite the loss, Parsons Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Kon Kon scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kon has scored all season. Solomon Vickers was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Parsons Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
