The Northeast Jones Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Stringer Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Northeast Jones is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Taylorsville a 23-0 shutout on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Jillian Butts looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Northeast Jones got a massive performance out of Kylinn Vice, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Vice a new career-high. Avery Foster also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Northeast Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Stringer got the win against Wayne County on Saturday by a conclusive 10-3.
Jaycee Holifield was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Kayleigh Douglas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Northeast Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Stringer's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1.
Stringer's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northeast Jones has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .518. It's a different story for Stringer, though, as they've only averaged .360. Will they be able to contain Northeast Jones' hitters?
