In what's become a running theme this season, the Mandeville Skippers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Covington 60-16 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Mandeville sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
Mandeville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Benoit out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Benoit has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Benoit, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mandeville is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. As for Covington, they dropped their record down to 8-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Mandeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covington, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Archbishop Hannan at 12:00 p.m. on February 10th.
