The West Port Wolf Pack will head out on the road to face off against the Trenton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If West Port beats Trenton with 15 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Wolf Pack didn't even let Kathleen on the board on Tuesday, marking the Wolf Pack's second-straight 15-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Wolf Pack as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alena Ishman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Emily Brinkman was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base. Another player making a difference was Ashley Zimmerman, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
West Port hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Trenton never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Union County 15-0. The Tigers have beaten the Fightin' Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Fightin' Tigers has come to flipping the script.
Like West Port, Trenton also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Allaire. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Allaire was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Weaver, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Presley Akins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
West Port's record now sits at 8-10. As for Trenton, their record is now 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. West Port has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trenton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
West Port suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Trenton when the teams last played back in March. Can the Wolf Pack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
