Hoosier Crossroads recap Oct. 30, 2012
Fishers scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Hamilton Southeastern, 42-7. At the time, the Royals were ranked 18th in the state, while Fishers was 26th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Noblesville, who took down 61st ranked Noblesville, 26-10.
Deris Duncan was the best wideout in Hoosier Crossroads this week as the Millers fell to McCutcheon. Duncan tallied six receptions for 72 yards. Joey Herron helped Noblesville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 39 yards.
Connor Christiansen put up the best numbers through the air as Rick Wimmer's team topped Hamilton Southeastern. He finished with seven completions for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Christiansen's favorite target this week was Max Leamer, who caught one pass for 39 yards.
Ryan Ripp was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 99 yards on 18 carries as Scott May's team lost to the Mavericks. Ross Risley also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.
On the ground, the Royals' Ripp has rushed for 1205 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cameron Polk. The Hamilton Southeastern star has 31 catches for 762 yards.
A big matchup in Hoosier Crossroads this week will be when Fishers takes on McCutcheon. Fishers is currently in fourth, while Ken Frauhiger's team is in ninth.
Avon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating North Vigo. The Orioles came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
