After soaring high against Great Plains Lutheran last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Waverly/South Shore found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-41 punch to the gut against Clark/Willow Lake. If Waverly/South Shore were hoping to take revenge for the 0-50 loss against Clark/Willow Lake the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The loss dropped Waverly/South Shore back to even at 1-1. The win bumped Clark/Willow Lake's record up to 3-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Waverly/South Shore will look to defend their home turf next week against Webster at 7:00 PM. Waverly/South Shore continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight game. As for Clark/Willow Lake, they will face off against Great Plains Lutheran. Great Plains Lutheran had less luck in their last game and are out to reverse Clark/Willow Lake's good fortune.
