The Simley Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 81-60 walloping at the hands of North. Simley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Brevin Conway went supernova for North, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Conway's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayvon Swift, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Simley's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-8. As for North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simley will take on South St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North, they will be playing at home against Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mounds View presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North in Minnesota (Mounds View is ranked 105th, while North is ranked 285th).
