The Hughson Huskies will square off against the Bradshaw Christian The Pride at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hughson sitting on three straight wins and Bradshaw Christian on eight.
Hughson extended their postseason success on Friday against Sutter. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Huskies.
Hughson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexander Villarreal, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Larkin Meyer, who gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Bradshaw Christian made off with a 22-21 win over Sonora.
Bradshaw Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Zeppieri out in front who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Rickert was another key contributor, throwing for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Hughson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Bradshaw Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
