While losing is never fun, Terre Haute South Vigo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Quakers are ranked 41st).
Meanwhile, Linton-Stockton waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past White River Valley 72-24 on the road. Linton-Stockton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Terre Haute South Vigo now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Linton-Stockton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Terre Haute South Vigo suffered a grim 77-52 defeat to the Miners in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Terre Haute South Vigo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
