Whitko won the last time they faced Argos and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Wildcats blew past the Dragons 23-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Hunter Long and  Easton Grable were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing,  Long   tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Grable   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he posted two  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024. At bat,  Long  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Grable  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  double marked the first that  Long has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Riley Harman was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. He has become a key player for Whitko: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethen Morris, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Whitko  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .707. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  contests.
Whitko's record is now 9-5. As for Argos, their loss was  their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-13.
 Whitko wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  match,  a  6-3  defeat against Northfield on the 7th. As for Argos, they will head out to  challenge Pioneer  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.53  runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
