The Swansea Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins at 2:00 p.m. Swansea's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Orangeburg-Wilkinson's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Swansea suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 41-20 walloping at the hands of Lake Marion.
Meanwhile, Orangeburg-Wilkinson can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 52-14 win over Columbia. Given Orangeburg-Wilkinson's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Columbia is ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Swansea's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.
Swansea might still be hurting after the 48-27 defeat they got from Orangeburg-Wilkinson when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Swansea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
