Turner Ashby waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Floyd County Buffaloes with a sharp 56-32 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Buffaloes are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Turner Ashby pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.3 points per game. As for Floyd County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Turner Ashby will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Handley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Handley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Turner Ashby surely won't give up without a fight. Floyd County and Loudoun County will round out the year against one another at on Monday.
