The Garden County Eagles's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed by Banner County on the road to the tune of 44-16. That's another feather in the cap for Garden County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Garden County found their leader in underclassman Ridglyn Stanczyk, who scored 17 points along with 7 steals. Payton Fornander was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Banner County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Garden County pulled down 25.
The win got Garden County back to even at 1-1. As for Banner County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Garden County will head out on the road to face off against Kimball on Tuesday. As for Banner County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Minatare.
