If the East Valley Falcons were riding high off their 73-36 takedown of the Vaughn White Tigers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East Valley received a tough blow on Wednesday as they fell 80-65 to Northridge Academy. East Valley has not had much luck with Northridge Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, East Valley had strong showings from Lukas Carone, who scored 26 points along with three steals, and Itzak Salazar, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. Carone hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Eero Wolfe, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Northridge Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Valley will take on Fulton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Vaughn at 4:00 p.m. Vaughn is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
