The Wheaton Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Poolesville Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheaton is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Monday, Wheaton took a serious blow against Whitman, falling 84-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheaton in their matchups with Whitman: they've now lost nine in a row.
Even though Poolesville has not done well against Quince Orchard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Poolesville strolled past Quince Orchard with points to spare, taking the game 65-51.
Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Poolesville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Wheaton was dealt a bruising 65-38 defeat at the hands of Poolesville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Wheaton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
