The Williamsburg Christian Academy Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Stuart Hall by a score of 57-48 on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Williamsburg Christian Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Stuart Hall is ranked 108th).
Williamsburg Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Legend Bunch, who scored 29 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bunch has scored at least a third of Williamsburg Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian LaPastora, who scored 12 points.
Williamsburg Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Stuart Hall, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Williamsburg Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Rise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rise Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 537 points over their last eight matches. As for Stuart Hall, they will be playing at home against Grace Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grace Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
