Pine is 3-0 against the Cobras since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pine Knights will be playing at home against the Sports Leadership & Management Cobras at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While Pine couldn't quite beat the Rams on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 25-point loss they were dealt on Friday. Pine fell just short of the Rams by a score of 50-47. Pine has struggled against the Rams recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 90-53 defeat at the hands of Royal Palm Beach. While losing is never fun, Sports Leadership & Management can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while the Wildcats are ranked 168th).
Pine's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Pine beat the Cobras 35-25 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Pine have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cobras turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
