On Thursday, Uplift Ascend Prep came up short against ILTexas Arlington and fell 49-37.
ILTexas Arlington can attribute much of their success to Timothy Oyekola, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oyekola has scored all season. Sean Tang was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Uplift Ascend Prep bumped their record down to 13-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for ILTexas Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-15 record this season.
Uplift Ascend Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. ILTexas Arlington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Advantage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Advantage Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
