After soaring to 41 points the game before, The Leander Lions were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-7 loss at the hands of Cedar Park. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Leander in their matchups with Cedar Park: they've now lost six in a row.
Cedar Park was led to victory by Trae Hill and Ayden Arp. Hill rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, while Arp threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Blake Suber, who picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Leander's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cedar Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Leander will head out on the road to face off against East View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Park, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Georgetown at 7:00 p.m.
