After flying high against Sneads last Thursday, Altha came back down to earth. The Altha Wildcats fell just short of the Blountstown Tigers by a score of 11-10 on Friday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.

Even though they lost, Altha was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blountstown only hit no.
On Blountstown's side, Carleigh Cook made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Cook was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cyianna Smith was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Kinlee Edwards was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Altha's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Blountstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Altha will be playing at home against Chipley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blountstown, they will head out on the road to square off against St. John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Blountstown is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
