The Desert Ridge Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 76-23 win over Camelback on the road. Desert Ridge has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Saige Miller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Kaycee Steinke was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten assists.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Camelback struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Desert Ridge pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Desert Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for Camelback, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Ridge will take on Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gilbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday. As for Camelback, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alhambra has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
