Waxahachie is 8-2 against the Broncos since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. While it was all tied up 40-40 at halftime, Waxahachie was not quite the Panthers and Pantherettes' equal in the second half on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (67), Waxahachie still had to take the loss.
Parker Jefferson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isayah Pankey, who scored eight points along with 12 assists.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Legacy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeSoto.
Waxahachie's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Mansfield Legacy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-17.
Waxahachie skirted past the Broncos 72-69 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Waxahachie repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
