Baseball Recap: Frederick Takes a Loss

Frederick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vanoss Wolves.

Grady Hillburn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Frederick is 3-1 when Hillburn posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise.

Frederick's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Vanoss, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Coming up, Frederick will be taking part in a tournament against Ninnekah at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vanoss, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Ardmore on the 28th.
