After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Gray, the Macksville Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 47-41 victory over Central Christian. The victory was all the more spectacular given Macksville's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Central Christian is ranked 18th).
Macksville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kambry Adams, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least 25% of Macksville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabela Ortiz, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Macksville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Central Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.
Macksville's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Stafford at 4:00 p.m. on December 15th. Central Christian is on the road again on Friday and play against Caldwell. Caldwell comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
