Three Rivers recap Oct. 23, 2012
Whitko moved up to 217 from 254 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Three Rivers. The Wildcats were able to make move up by besting Garrett 21-16.
North Miami took down LaVille 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Robbie Cole and Nathan Hollars gave Southwood a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Cole threw for 54 yards and one touchdown, while Hollars ran for 172 yards.
Tanner Andrews was the best wideout in the league this week as Tippecanoe Valley defeated West Noble. Andrews tallied two receptions for 40 yards. Dan Miller helped Tippecanoe Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 31 yards.
The Vikings' Ben Shriver and Andrews have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shriver has thrown for 1525 yards this season, while Andrews, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 37 catches for 734 yards. The Knights' Hollars leads the league in rushing yards with 1332.
A big matchup in Three Rivers this week will be when the Warriors take on Northfield. As it stands, North Miami is in third, while the Norseman are in fifth.
Whitko and the Railroaders played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Whitko eventually emerging with a 21-16 victory.
