There's no place like home for the Seton Conquistadors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 67-63 win over Northern Virginia HomeSchool on Tuesday. Given Seton's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Centurions are ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northern Virginia HomeSchool's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Gresham, who scored 16 points. Gabe Drown was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Seton pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton will square off against the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on the at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
