The Vashon Island Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a  tough 81-61 defeat at the hands of East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
  Brody  Moore was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 31 points for East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]. Those 31 points set a new season-high mark for him.  Stuart Dow was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 12 points and 21  rebounds.
 Vashon Island's defeat was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 2-9. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum], they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vashon Island will take on Seattle Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Washington (Seattle Christian is ranked 318th, while Vashon Island is ranked 341st). As for East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum], they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Annie Wright at 7:00  p.m.
