Baseball Recap: Kickapoo Has No Trouble Against Hickman

Kickapoo never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hickman on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Kewpies. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

Kickapoo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hickman, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Hickman has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Staley on the 3rd. Hopefully Kickapoo paid attention to the Kewpies' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Kewpies at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
