The Corinth Riverhawks entered their tilt with the Hartford Central Tanagers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Corinth took down Hartford Central 61-43 on Saturday. Corinth pushed the score to 54-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Hartford Central cut but never quite recovered from.
Despite the loss, Hartford Central still got an impressive performance from Alawnah Dunda, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Audrey Fiske, who scored four points.
Corinth's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Hartford Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corinth will take on Hudson Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Corinth is coming into the contest with 16 straight victories at home, so Hudson Falls is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Hartford Central will take on Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Hartford Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
